This is my second time to come to EKM as a working student (yes, I came back!). Today we went to volcano, and
I must say it would really suck to be burnt up by lava!
My rides at EKM really helped with my horses at home. I got a genuine relaxed walk from my young Irish Sport Horse.
It's amazing to me that I didn’t notice before how hurried and anxious his walk was before. I guess I thought it was his
stride and that he was just really forward. It took me all this time just to get him to slow down and really relax
everywhere, and his walk now has a very big overtrack. Hopefully now that he understands he can relax, the other
gaits will come easier.
It was fun getting to visit with Nancy here in Texas when she was at the USEF Eventing judge forum at Las Colinas.
